METALLURGICALS: STRESS, LIFE HABITS AND PERSONAL FEELINGS. PREVALENCE AMONG EMPLOYEES

Objective: This study aims to verify the incidence of stress and how much it relates individual characteristics, life habits personal feelings metallurgists a multinational company in region Curitiba.Methodology: It is cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative study. A survey was conducted using questionnaire “Perceived Stress Scale” (PSS) sociodemographic with metallurgical employees 2015. The data were analyzed descriptive statistics, Fisher’s exact test Pearson’s Chi-square.Results: Of 2,200 company, 1952 (88.7%) able participate study, 636 whom (32.58%) situation stress. There prevalence female individuals, people sedentary behaviors, smokers, indebted, those who expressed dissatisfaction salary, profession negative regarding their lives. Thus, variables that showed statistically significant relationship (p <0.05) were: sex, physical activity, smoking, satisfaction work private life.Conclusion: an below statistics working population general there between most studied feelings.
